Raspberries
Description
Raspberries are delicate, red fruits made up of small drupelets with a silky texture, intense aroma, and a sweet-tart flavor that combines notes of red fruits and light acidity. They are low in calories, rich in fiber, vitamin C, and manganese, as well as numerous antioxidants (anthocyanins, ellagitannins), which contribute to anti-inflammatory effects, support immunity, digestion, and cardiovascular health. In the kitchen, raspberries work well in desserts, jams, and cocktails, as well as salads, meat sauces, or savory vinaigrettes; they pair excellently with yogurt, oatmeal, chocolate, and cheeses. They should be stored in the refrigerator in an unsealed container, without washing before storage, and are best consumed within 2–3 days, or frozen spread out on a tray for longer preservation to maintain their shape and flavor.
