Description

Dry red wine is a drink with a clear color ranging from ruby to garnet, with noticeable tannins and acidity. The aroma is dominated by notes of dark fruits, berries, and plums, often with hints of spices, earth, or oak. The taste is dry, pronounced, and balanced, with a long finish. Nutritionally, it provides about 80–85 kcal per 100 ml, contains small amounts of carbohydrates, minerals, and polyphenols, including resveratrol, which in moderate amounts is associated with beneficial effects on the cardiovascular system. Due to its alcohol content, moderation is recommended. In cooking, dry red wine is excellent for sauces, deglazing, braised meats, stews, marinades, and risotto, as well as pairing with red meat, game, and aged cheeses. Store bottles in a cool, dark place; after opening, keep a tightly sealed bottle in the refrigerator and consume within a few days.
