Fresh parsley

🌱 Vegetarian 🌿 Vegan

Description

Fresh parsley has an intense, herbal aroma with a delicate, slightly peppery and citrus note. The leaves are light green, small, and juicy, often with a slightly wavy edge; in appearance and taste, it adds freshness and distinctiveness to dishes without overpowering other ingredients. It is typically used as an addition to salads, sauces (e.g., chimichurri, pesto), soups, fish and meat dishes, and as a finishing touch to dishes before serving. Nutritionally, parsley is low in calories, rich in vitamins A, C, and K, folic acid, and minerals such as iron and potassium, as well as antioxidants and fiber, which can support immunity, bone health, and digestion. Store it in the refrigerator, preferably unwashed, wrapped in a damp paper towel in a perforated bag or placed in a glass of water covered with plastic wrap; use within a week, and finely chopped parsley can also be frozen in oil.
