Raspberry
Description
Raspberry is a delicate fruit with a bright red (sometimes yellow or black) color, composed of small drupelets forming a characteristic hollow structure. Its flavor is aromatic, sweet-tart with a distinct spicy note that adds freshness to dishes. The soft texture and intense aroma make it recognizable and desirable in the kitchen. Raspberries are low in calories, rich in fiber, vitamin C, manganese, and antioxidants (anthocyanins and polyphenols), which support immunity, heart health, and the digestive system, and have anti-inflammatory effects. In the kitchen, they pair well with desserts, jams, sauces, smoothies, salads, and dishes with cheeses or chocolate, as well as in baking and beverages. They should be stored in the refrigerator, not washed before storing, laid loosely in a single layer, and consumed within 1–3 days; for longer storage, it is best to freeze them spread out on a baking sheet.
