Fresh lime juice
Description
Fresh lime juice has an intense, sour-aromatic flavor with a slightly bitter note from the peel and a light green, transparent color that enlivens dishes and drinks with its fresh, citrus aroma. It pairs wonderfully with seafood, meat, sauces, dressings, marinades, cocktails, and desserts, as well as being a great addition to tea or water for an instant flavor boost. Nutritionally, fresh lime juice is low in calories, rich in vitamin C, flavonoids, and antioxidants, supporting immunity, iron absorption, and vascular health with moderate consumption. To maintain freshness and nutritional value, store the juice in a tightly sealed glass or plastic container in the refrigerator for up to 2–3 days, or freeze it in ice cube trays for several months.
