Whipped cream (optional)

🌱 Vegetarian

Description

Whipped cream (optional) is a light, fluffy creamy mass with a delicate, sweetish taste and a uniform, snow-white or creamy color. Depending on the cream used, it can have a velvety or slightly fattier texture; it is often sweetened or flavored with vanilla. Nutritionally, it is a source of energy and fat, especially saturated acids, and also provides small amounts of protein, fat-soluble vitamins (A, D), and calcium, so it is advisable to use it in moderation as a dietary addition. In the kitchen, whipped cream perfectly complements desserts, cakes, fruits, coffee, and hot chocolate; it can also decorate creamy soups and sauces as an optional flavor accent. It should be stored in a closed container in a cool place (refrigerator, 2–4°C) and used within 24–48 hours after whipping; cream in a carton should be kept according to the expiration date, and if necessary, it can be frozen, although the texture may change after thawing.
