Hot beef broth

Description

Beef broth (hot) has a distinct meaty flavor with umami notes and a subtle sweetness from the cooked meat; its color ranges from golden amber to deep brown, and clarity depends on the clarification method and cooking time. As a hot drink or base, it adds aroma and a hearty character to dishes, releasing an intense fragrance when served. Nutritionally, broth provides easily absorbable minerals (including iron, zinc), electrolytes, as well as collagen and amino acids (glycine, proline), which support hydration, digestion, and tissue regeneration; however, it is advisable to monitor the sodium content in ready-made versions. In the kitchen, it works well as a base for soups, sauces, risottos, braises, and reduction sauces, as well as a standalone warming drink. It should be stored tightly sealed, cooled to room temperature, and placed in the refrigerator (for up to 3–4 days) or frozen in portions (for up to 3 months); before reuse, defat and bring to a boil.
