Greek yogurt 10% (dip)

🌱 Vegetarian

Description

Greek yogurt 10% (dip) is a thick, creamy product with a silky, slightly dense texture and a light cream color. It has a distinct, pleasantly tangy flavor with a subtle hint of richness, making it more filling and aromatic than fat-free versions. From a nutritional standpoint, it provides protein, calcium, B vitamins, and beneficial probiotic cultures; the fat content (around 10%) increases the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins and enhances the feeling of fullness, although it also raises the calorie count compared to leaner yogurts. In the kitchen, it works well as a base for dips, sauces, and dressings, for tzatziki, meat marinades, creamy salad dressings, and as an addition to roasted vegetables, soups, and desserts. It should be stored in the refrigerator at a temperature of 2–6°C, tightly sealed, and is best used within 5–7 days after opening; long-term freezing is not recommended due to changes in texture.
