Mango (pulp)

🌱 Vegetarian 🌿 Vegan

Description

Mango pulp has an intense sweet-tart flavor with hints of peach and citrus, as well as a juicy, creamy texture and a deep yellow-orange color, often with a tropical aroma when ripe. It is rich in vitamins A and C, fiber, potassium, and antioxidants (carotenoids, polyphenols), which support immunity, skin and eye health, and digestion, while providing few calories. Regular consumption aids in cell regeneration and may reduce inflammation. In the kitchen, mango pulp pairs well with salads, salsas, smoothies, desserts, chutneys, marinades, and grilled dishes, complementing both sweet and spicy flavors. Regardless of ripeness, it is best to store unripe fruit at room temperature and ripe fruit in the refrigerator for 3–5 days; cut mango should be kept in an airtight container for 2–3 days or frozen for longer storage, avoiding bruising and contact with other ethylene-sensitive fruits.
