Pomegranate seeds

🌱 Vegetarian 🌿 Vegan

Description

Pomegranate seeds are small, juicy arils with an intense ruby color, combining a sweet-tart, refreshing flavor with a pleasant crunch. Their nutritional value is significant: they are a source of vitamins C and K, fiber, potassium, and powerful antioxidants (including punicalagin and anthocyanins), which support the cardiovascular system, exhibit anti-inflammatory effects, and may contribute to lowering blood pressure and improving metabolic functions. Culinarily, pomegranate seeds pair wonderfully with salads, yogurts, grains, desserts, sauces for meats and fish, and cocktails, adding freshness and color as a decoration or flavor component. To maintain their freshness, store the seeds in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5–7 days; they can also be frozen for about 6 months. Whole fruits are better stored in a cool, dry place for several weeks.
