Pork loin
Description
Pork loin is a lean, light pink piece of meat with a delicate, slightly sweet flavor and a firm yet tender texture after cooking. It is a source of high-quality protein containing all essential amino acids, as well as B vitamins (especially thiamine, niacin, and B6) and minerals such as phosphorus, iron, and zinc, which support muscle recovery, energy metabolism, and immunity. With moderate consumption and limited added fat, pork loin can be part of a balanced diet. In the kitchen, pork loin is great for roasting, braising, grilling, and for cutlets and roulades. It pairs well with apples, garlic, herbs, and creamy or mustard sauces. Store raw pork loin in the refrigerator at a temperature of 0–4°C and use it within about 3–5 days, and if you want to extend its shelf life, freeze it tightly wrapped for up to 4–6 months.
