Cream cheese
Description
Cream cheese is a soft, smooth cheese with a creamy consistency, light cream color, and a delicate, mildly tangy flavor with a noticeable hint of cream. Its velvety texture spreads easily on bread and combines well with other ingredients, while maintaining a subtle sweetness and a light milky aftertaste. In terms of nutritional values, the cheese provides protein, calcium, and vitamins from the B and A groups, although it can be high in saturated fat and sodium, so it is best consumed in moderation as part of a balanced diet. In the kitchen, it works well as a base for spreads, dips, creamy sauces, cheesecakes, and fillings for bread or pancakes, as well as an ingredient in both sweet and savory dishes. It should be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container at a temperature of 2–6°C, and used within about 7–14 days after opening; freezing is not recommended due to changes in texture.
