Cashew nut butter
Description
Cashew nut butter is a smooth, creamy paste with a light beige color and a subtly sweet, buttery flavor with a hint of nutty creaminess. Its texture can be silky smooth or slightly grainy, depending on the grinding level. Nutritionally, it is a concentrate of heart-healthy monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, providing protein, fiber, B vitamins, as well as tocopherols and minerals such as magnesium, phosphorus, iron, and zinc, which support metabolism, bones, and a feeling of fullness. In the kitchen, it works well as a spread on bread, an addition to smoothies, sauces, dips, dressings, and baked goods, as well as a base for creamy curries or vegan cheeses. To maintain freshness, store in a tightly sealed jar in a cool, dark place; once opened, it is best to refrigerate and use within 4–8 weeks. If oil separates, stir before use and avoid contact with moisture.
