Almond flakes
Description
Almond flakes are thinly sliced pieces of almonds with a creamy-white flesh and a subtly nutty, slightly sweet flavor, along with a delicate crunch when toasted. They are rich in protein, monounsaturated fats, fiber, vitamin E, magnesium, and antioxidants, which contribute to heart protection, reduction of inflammation, stabilization of blood sugar levels, and a feeling of fullness while also supporting the skin and nervous system. In the kitchen, almond flakes are great for baking, muesli, granola, salads, desserts, breading for fish and poultry, and as a decoration for creams and cakes; they can also be briefly toasted to enhance their aroma. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry, and dark place, and for longer storage, keep in the refrigerator to prevent rancidity.
