Description

Vanilla sugar is a finely granulated, white or slightly creamy sugar with a distinct sweet taste and a warm, vanilla note — in versions with real vanilla pods, small black specks of vanilla are visible, while in flavored versions, the uniform scent of vanillin predominates. It is practically pure sucrose with added flavor, therefore it mainly provides energy in the form of calories and does not constitute a significant source of vitamins or minerals; when consumed in moderation, it fits into a balanced diet, while excess simple sugars should be limited. In the kitchen, vanilla sugar wonderfully enhances the flavor of cakes, cookies, creams, puddings, pancakes, fruits, and hot beverages, adding a pleasant vanilla note without the need for extract.
