Mozzarella balls
Description
Mozzarella balls are fresh, soft cheese with a delicate, milky flavor and a creamy, elastic texture; they have a bright white color and are often stored in brine, which gives them a subtle saltiness and juiciness. Thanks to their neutral aroma, they pair perfectly with tomatoes, basil, and olive oil in a caprese salad, melt evenly on pizzas and casseroles, and complement sandwiches, salads, and light appetizers. Mozzarella is a source of complete protein, calcium, phosphorus, and vitamin B12, supporting bone health and muscle recovery with moderate consumption. To maintain freshness, store the ball in its original brine or in a cool, airtight container in the refrigerator (about 4°C) and use within a few days after opening; freezing is not recommended as it loses its creamy texture.
