Cayenne pepper
Description
Cayenne pepper is a finely ground powder with an intense red color and a distinctly sharp, peppery flavor, whose fiery character comes from the alkaloid capsaicin. It has a slightly earthy, spicy aroma that enhances dishes without overpowering other ingredients. Nutritionally, cayenne provides small amounts of vitamins (especially A and C), minerals, and strong antioxidants; capsaicin boosts metabolism, aids digestion, may have anti-inflammatory properties, improves circulation, and supports immunity. In the kitchen, cayenne pepper is suitable for chili, stews, soups, sauces, marinades, spice blends, Mexican and Asian dishes, as well as for eggs, vegetables, and dark chocolate when we want to add heat. Store it in an airtight, dark, and dry container, away from heat and moisture; whole dried peppers retain their aroma longer than ground powder.
