Radish (optional)
Description
Radish (optional) is a small, round vegetable with a juicy, crunchy texture and a distinct, slightly peppery flavor. The skin can be red, pink, or white, while the flesh is white and aromatic; when added optionally, it brings a fresh, sharp accent and an attractive color contrast to dishes. It is low in calories, rich in vitamin C, fiber, folic acid, and potassium, which supports immunity, digestion, and electrolyte balance; it also contains sulfur compounds with antioxidant properties. Radishes are great in salads, sandwiches, tacos, appetizers, and pickles, as well as a crunchy addition to grilled dishes or spring salads. To extend freshness, remove the leaves, store unwashed in the refrigerator in a perforated bag or container, and immerse cut pieces in cold water; they usually maintain quality for 1–2 weeks.
