Chicken fillet
Description
Chicken fillet is a delicate, lean meat with a mild, non-aggressive flavor; raw it has a light pink color and firm texture, and when cooked properly, it turns white and juicy. It is a valuable source of high-quality protein with low fat content, providing B vitamins (especially niacin and B6), selenium, and phosphorus, which support muscle building, metabolism, and immune functions, as well as facilitate weight control when consumed without skin. The fillet is perfect for grilling, frying, baking, stewing, and steaming, and it fits well in salads, sandwiches, one-pot dishes, curries, and stir-fries, pairing nicely with herbs, citrus, garlic, spices, and vegetables. Store in the refrigerator at ≤4°C and use within 1–2 days (raw) or 3–4 days (cooked); it can be frozen to maintain quality for about 6 months, thawed in the refrigerator, and avoid refreezing raw meat.
