Description
Sour cream 18% is a smooth, creamy product with a whitish hue and a slightly tangy, fresh taste, along with a subtle milky aroma. The consistency is thick, but it easily combines with other ingredients, giving dishes a velvety texture and pleasant acidity. Nutritionally, sour cream 18% primarily provides moderate amounts of fats, milk protein, calcium, and fat-soluble vitamins, especially vitamin A; cultural fermentation may also increase the content of beneficial probiotic bacteria. When consumed in moderation, it can support vitamin absorption and diversify the diet, but due to its calorie content, portion control is advisable. In the kitchen, it works well as an addition to soups, sauces, dips, salads, baked dishes, and desserts, as well as for finishing dishes in Polish and European cuisine, where it softens sharp flavors. Store in the refrigerator in a tightly sealed container and consume within a few days of opening; freezing is possible, but it may change the consistency.
