Coconut cream (thick part)
Description
Coconut cream (thick part) is a creamy, almost white mass with a rich, slightly sweet taste and a distinct coconut aroma. It has a thick consistency resembling cream, which often slightly thickens and separates from the watery part when chilled. Nutritionally, it mainly provides saturated fats, including medium-chain fatty acids (MCT), and energy; it is free from lactose and milk proteins, containing small amounts of vitamins and minerals. It can help support a feeling of fullness and provide quick energy, but it should be used in moderation due to its calorie content. Typical uses include curries, thick sauces, cream soups, desserts, and vegan baking — it thickens beautifully and adds creaminess. Once opened, store in the refrigerator in an airtight container and use within 3–5 days; it can also be portioned and frozen.
