Salad mix
Description
Salad mix is a composition of leaves with varied colors and textures — from light green, delicate leaves of butter lettuce, through crunchy lamb's lettuce, to darker, slightly peppery leaves of arugula or radicchio. The flavor is usually mild with subtle notes of bitterness and pepper, providing a pleasant contrast in dishes and an attractive visual effect. Nutritionally, salad mix is low in calories, rich in water, fiber, vitamins A, C, and K, as well as minerals such as potassium and folates, and antioxidants that support the immune system and digestion. It works perfectly as a base for salads, an addition to sandwiches, wraps, and grilled dishes, as well as an elegant decoration. It should be stored in the refrigerator, preferably in a perforated package or wrapped in a damp paper towel, without washing before longer storage; use within a few days.
